Stephanie of Personal Farewells and her team were beyond helpful in the time following the passing of my husband. Her guidance in all the decisions my daughter and I had to make was incredibly helpful in time when I felt helpless. Also the service that she organised was very elegant, receiving many complements from our friends and family . The celebrant , Jessica Mutch, organised us during the preparation phase including many personal messages and created bespoke service in such a dignified and professional manner. Stephanie is excellent. From the very first phone call, she was professional, sympathetic, respectful and gave my Mum the dignified and beautiful service she deserved. No request or change was too great and her communication was next level. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Exceptional, Heartfelt Service — Thank You, Stephanie and Team

Stephanie and her team at Personal Farewells created the most beautiful and deeply meaningful funeral service and burial for our 9yr old son Harry. Every detail was handled with such care, thoughtfulness, and compassion.

The yellow flowers — especially the sunflowers — were vibrant and full of life, and Harry’s superhero bear was such a tender, loving gesture that meant so much.

The photos and videos were absolutely gorgeous. Seeing Harry enjoying his favourite foods — pasta and raspberries — making the happiest little mess, brought so much warmth and joy to the room. The process of uploading and Stephanie producing this was seamless.

Stephanie’s recommendation of Jess as the celebrant was excellent. We felt so comfortable with them both in the hardest days of our life. Jess and Stephanie meticulously timed the service and made sure we got everything we wanted for our Harry.

Stephanie also helped us navigate a Saturday service at a few days notice, she was very helpful in understanding the costs from Woronora Memorial Park.

The tribute from Bates Drive School was just as special. It was clear how adored Harry was by his teachers and friends. The stories of his cheeky antics — taking off and throwing his shoes, grabbing hair and sunglasses, and of course, enjoying raspberries — brought smiles through the tears.

The story of the rainbow appearing at Bear Cottage was truly unforgettable. It felt like a sign from Harry himself — a comforting reminder that his spirit is close, loving, and forever present. Aunty Sarah’s poem, Look for Me in Rainbows, was the perfect way to end such a meaningful service.

The bubbles at the conclusion were a beautiful touch — light, joyful, and full of Harry’s spirit.

Thank you, Stephanie and the entire Personal Farewells team, for creating an exceptional, heartfelt tribute. You worked long hours to get every detail perfect for Harry..

I would highly recommend Personal Farewells for any funeral. Stephanie and all the staff were so compassionate and respectful with my brother and I on the passing of our father. They went that extra step and made us feel like you were more than just a customer, and were part of their family. The details in the photo slideshow was exceptionally professional and very fitting for our father. Sue Rose, the Celebrant put the family at ease and captured the essence of our father to a tee. Overall a very professional, compassionate, independant funeral director business. This is the second funeral that I have used Personal Farewells and I would highly recommend them to other people who have lost a loved one.

Stephanie came highly recommended, and from the first phone call, I knew she was the right person to help us arrange my dad’s funeral. We met with her to discuss what we wanted, and she guided us through all the options step by step. From then on, we didn’t have to worry about a thing, she arranged everything seamlessly, with care, warmth, and absolute professionalism. Her advice on how to organise the day so it all flowed smoothly was invaluable. She took all the stress away during an incredibly difficult time.

Stephanie has clearly built wonderful partnerships with people she trusts. The celebrant she recommended was perfect, the flowers were beautiful, and the service was everything we had hoped for, Dad would have loved it. On the day itself, Stephanie was calm, unobtrusive, yet always present when needed, and made sure everything went smoothly and as planned.

From the first text message I sent to Stephanie, her and her team were fully invested in help myself deal with such a devastating time so seamlessly, even with some extravagant request to make Greg's service fitting for him she was able piece it all together making his farewell the most memorable for myself, his boys and our extended family and friends.

Thank you to Jessica who also made the service, so personal and memorable that people actually thought she knew Greg personally, your time and understanding of the man he was, was delivered so comforting to all at the service.

The livestream through Streamwise Media was flawless and we have had so many comments on how those that weren't able to attend felt like they were right there with us.

Stephanine, thank you for being you and I'm so grateful our paths crossed and that I travelled the most difficult time in my life with you and your team by my side.

I lost both my parents within 3.5 months Stephanie and her team handle both, she is thoughtful and my mum died suddenly with advanced Cancer this team of people are the most empathetic and loving to deal with I highly recommend using this company. I had a few Funeral Homes recommended to me after the passing of my mother and made a few phone calls to discuss options and prices with them. It was clear from that first call with Stephanie that the heartfelt recommendation that Personal Farewells was given was truly due. I was recommended Stephanie from Personal Farewells following the loss of my wife. From our first meeting and throughout the planning of my wife's service Stephanie and our Celebrant Jess provided guidance, support and kindness during a extremely difficult time. From the moment my Sister passed on your details to me after you being one of Her clients, speaking to you for the first time, it was clearly Devine Intervention that brought us together. My wife was in the unusual but lucky position to be able to do this as Stephanie, who was recommended by a friend, came to our house and met with her and the immediate family. A rapport was almost instant and my wife and family all felt so comfortable with the compassion, sincerity and care that she was able to offer given our circumstance. It was so special that my wife was able to discuss and convey her personal wishes and choices in relation to the ceremony, burial, coffin, flowers etc.

From my first conversation with Stephanie, I immediately felt her empathy, kindness and sincerity. It is such a vulnerable time grieving the loss of a loved one. In her role as a Funeral Director, Stephanie provided that gift of reassurance that she would do her utmost and beyond to give our Dad the perfect farewell despite the hurdle of our tight deadline. I could not recommend Stephanie from Personal Farewells enough. They went above and beyond for us in making sure our late loved one was honoured the way we had hoped and was such a support to the kids and I through such a hard time. I wouldn't use anyone else I found them exactly that very personal not treated as just another number. I had so many comments after the service of how lovely it was and how it was conducted. We were able to have a smooth running service, with the whole family very happy with everything that was provided by Stephanie and the team at Personal Farewells. We were put at ease immediately upon meeting her. The flowers, service and all other requirements were easily met with wonderful recommendations. While it isn't a service, we hope to use again for a number of years, we would happily recommend them to others going through this event.

I would like to highly recommend Personal Farewells for the caring and professional service offered to my family on the death of our Mother. Under Stephanie’s guidance we were able to plan a wonderful farewell at a difficult time. Stephanie’s ability to accommodate the wishes of family members was gracious and she went above and beyond what we expected. The casket, flowers and the Order of Service were beautifully presented on the day of the service and Stephanie was there to make the whole process run smoothly.

Arranging a funeral at short notice seemed a daunting task, but with Stephanie's guidance all the details came together quickly and we were able organise a service with personal touches that was what we wanted. The photos were easy to upload and there was no problem with my choice of songs to be played during the service.
